Glutamine-Rich, Prebiotic Formula Supports GI and Immune Function
GastroThera™ provides extensive support for the entire GI tract by addressing energy requirements of the intestinal mucosa, structural composition of intestinal and colonic cells, microorganism balance, and production of protective intestinal mucus secretions. GastroThera™ augments the actions of MultiThera® multivitamin formulas with the amino acid glutamine, the primary fuel for intestinal cell function, to help meet the high energy demands of the GI tract, liver, and immune system during periods of physiological stress and transport ammonia to the kidneys for excretion. Acacia and inulin add soluble fibers that are readily fermentable into short-chain fatty acids that support the growth of beneficial bacteria, assist water absorption, and support colonic cell function. N-Acetyl-D-Glucosamine helps form intestinal mucous secretions that protect intestinal tissues and help food pass through the GI tract. GastroThera™ can be taken regularly or periodically for nutritive support of GI function and is often used with probiotic supplementation. The powder is neutral in taste and readily soluble in water.
