Grass Fed and Finished New Zealand Sheep Heart™ - 120 Capsules

Supreme Nutrition Grass Fed Sheep Heart

Supreme Nutrition's Sheep glandulars are freeze dried, 100% grass fed freeze-dried, ovine (sheep) heart from young sheep raised in New Zealand. As with all of Supreme Nutrition's products, there are no fillers, binders, flow agents or any other ingredients other than the capsule. Supreme Nutrition decided with their glandulars to use ovine as opposed to bovine (cow) sources. Ovine is one of the most hypoallergenic foods as well as one of the cleanest domesticated animals.

To give you an idea of how nutrient dense heart is, a 3 oz serving of heart contains the following percentages of RDA of these nutrients: Iron 68%, Phosphorus 22%, Copper 24%, Folate 2%, Selenium 48%, Zinc 17%, Riboflavin 61%, Vitamin B12 383%, Vitamin B6 17%, and Choline 36%.

Heart is also perhaps the richest natural source of CoQ10 and L-carnitine. Many alternative medicine physicians have used it to try to help support those with heart damage due to the recent increase in myocarditis. Also, elite and professional athletes have an increased need for carnitine, as it is essential for muscle repair (heart is also considered a rich source of collagen and elastin). In these cases we feel a whole food that contains high quantities of L-carnitine is preferable. Studies show L-carnitine found naturally in food has much better absorption than L-carnitine pills. L-carnitine pills also often are derived from petrochemicals or a fermentation process of e.coli, neither of which is ideal. Supplemental CoQ10 often involves nickel catalysts and sometimes even tobacco waste. Again, the whole food form contained in grass fed heart should be far cleaner and superior.
