Suggested Use

Cats: 1 soft chew daily.

Dogs: 1 soft chew per 25 lbs. of body weight daily.

Horses: 4-12 soft chew daily.

PhytoprofenVET is an exclusive ThorneVET formula that combines several botanicals, including a synergistic blend of the Ayurvedic herbs – ginger, Boswellia, and curcumin (that is bound to phospholipids for enhanced absorption – CurcuVET®) – all of which help maintain a healthy balance of cytokines. Cytokines are cell-signaling molecules that aid cell-to-cell communication in immune responses and stimulate the movement of cells toward sites of inflammation, infection, and trauma; thus helping to minimize post-injury bruising and swelling and supporting post-surgery recovery. PhytoprofenVET can be used for cats, dogs, and horses.

Studies show supplementation with bromelain following a blunt injury to the musculoskeletal system resulted in reductions in swelling and tenderness.

The curcumin in PhytoprofenVET is CurcuVET, a curcumin/phospholipid phytosome that demonstrates superior bioavailability compared to ordinary curcumin compounds.

A recent in vivo study examined a Boswellia extract for its positive effect on glycosaminoglycan (GAG) metabolism. GAGs form an important component of an animal’s connective tissues. The results of the study showed that Boswellia significantly reduced the normal degradation of GAGs compared to controls, thus providing support for maintenance of healthy connective tissue in a companion animal.
