S.A.T. (Silymarin, Artichoke, Turmeric) is a liver-protective formula that provides curcumin and milk thistle extracts as phytosomes. Artichoke provides support for fatty liver.

Ingredients

One Capsule Contains:

Silybin Phytosome* (Silybum marianum extract (fruit) / Phospholipid complex from Sunflower)) 150 mg

Artichoke extract (leaf) (Cynara scolymus) 150 mg.

Curcumin Phytosome* (Curcuma longa extract (root) / Phospholipid complex from Sunflower)) 150 mg.

Other Ingredients: Microcrystalline Cellulose, Hypromellose (derived from cellulose) capsule, Leucine, Silicon Dioxide.

*This product uses Indena S.p.A.'s curcumin phytosome (Meriva®) and silybin phytosome (Siliphos®). Meriva and Siliphos are registered trademarks of Indena S.p.A. Cynara PE 4:1

Suggested Use

Take 1 capsule two to three times daily or as recommended by a health-care practitioner.

INTERACTIONS

Curcumin has been shown to reduce the therapeutic efficacy of cyclophosphamide (Cytoxan) in animal studies. In vitro research reveals curcumin decreased camptothecin-induced death of cultured breast cancer cells. Curcumin might also interfere with the absorption and efficacy of the chemotherapy drug irinotecan, used to treat colon cancer. The concurrent use of curcumin with these agents should be avoided.
